I enjoy doing photography work for various events and charities that support the community as a whole. When I found out about the Hip Hop Classic, I couldn't help but volunteer my services for the good cause that I viewed it as.
It turned out to be a fun and exciting event, very well organized and run by Mona B Enterprises - you could tell that everyone involved and participating had an amazing time.
Here are some shots from the event:
Photos from the event are available for purchase here.
I'll be out supporting (and photographing!) a good cause at the Hip Hop Classic 5K Walk/Run this Saturday morning (November 15th).
The Hip Hop Classic 5K Walk/Run is designed to empower and inspire Hip Hop fans of all ages, abilities, shapes and sizes to use their love of Hip Hop to embrace an active and healthy lifestyle.
Whether you're an avid athlete or a novice runner, you'll love the Hip Hop Classic! No matter if you love Hip Hop music or love running, you'll have a blast listening to great Hip Hop hits along the 5k course.
Proceeds of this race will benefit the Union Rescue Mission.
I shot my first baseball game in about six months of sitting idle - this one for one of my younger brothers. I was quick to get back into the groove of things, but I still feel like I need a little bit more practice and fine tuning of timing to get things perfect.
After a full week down in Irvine at Canon's factory service center, the second of two Mark III bodies that I own is back and functioning again.
The vague service details state:
We have examined the product according to your request, and, it was found that the internal component was inoperative causing an error to be displayed. The internal component was reworked. Other electrical adjustments and inspection and cleaning were carried out.
I'm not exactly sure what that means, but after a few hours of use yesterday it doesn't seem to be spitting out errors any longer.
As if I didn't have enough problems to deal with, one of my camera bodies started spitting out errors... again!
This is the third time I'm sending in this particular Canon 1D Mark III Body for repair, and overall, the seventh time I'm sending in a Mark III. For how much these things cost, I'm amazed at how much trouble I've had with them in a year and a half.
